24bit display issues on pre-unibody macbooks.

When I had my Black macbook I remember the displays had an issue where they were basically only showing 24-bit color, so things like gradients looked really poor.

Was this fixed in any of the pre-unibody macbooks?

In order for it to be fixed, Apple would have had to put in new panels, which they did not. So the answer is no.

Interesting thread. I KNEW that I could see dithering on my screen, this confirms it. Not that it matters much, I do just about all of my editing on my external monitor, which is much higher quality.
