Do free apps count?
As far as I know, yes. They don't say they don't count, just that you've got to download an app.
Cool, that's what I thought, thought I'd make sure.
Heads up, if you're waiting for the ticker on the website to get close to 25 billion to download and app- you probably won't win.
That ticker is not accurate.
Yep, it's just an animation.
I'm pretty sure that I'm going to win.
I'd be willing to bet that this gets awarded to someone that wasn't even trying. "Little Timmy downloads Elmo teaches numbers and wins dad $10k credit to the iTunes store."
Yeah, the last winner of an app countdown was downloading that Paper Glider(or something with a paper airplane and brown wood background as an icon, where you steer a paper airplane in a 3D environment) app. It was free...
If I win, I'm just going to sell it to get the next iPhone. What do I need $10,000 of app store credits for?
How much do you think that would go for?
I am sure they just credit your apple id... unless you give away your apple id I think you'd be SOL.
Yeah, I've been counting on it being wrong, each day for the last couple days I've downloaded somethng new, the chance of winning is super low, but atleast I have a chance that way, and I don't have to waste all my time stuffing the box with votes.
