Please I realize this is has been answered before on the forums but I couldn't find anything exactly the same. I figure if I am going to spend $700 on a SSD I want a sound opinion.

250Gb Summit or 250 Vertex?

Im not quite rich enough to afford one for myself, but Ive heard some great things about the Vertex.
From the reviews I've seen at places like Anandtech.com, I'm only considering the OCZ Vertex or the Intel X25 series out of current technologies. The controller chips used in the other drives all seem to have performance degradation problems over time.
