What are your input in the usability of the 27" screen together with the macbook pro 15" i5 with only 256MB VRAM? Will it run out of video memory when you work with layers in photoshop CS5 and lightroom?

Hey, don't worry. I do that on my 1920x1200 Cinema Display, with a 13" MacBook Pro and NO DEDICATED VRAM. It works very well, I don't notice any lag or anything. I'm sure that you can get away with 256 of Dedicated, especially if I only have shared.

Cheers,

Don't use the OpenGL stuff (which afaik is mostly used for the smooth zooming, rotate etc things) in CS5 and you should be fine. I often run my 13" MBP with a 30" 2560x1600 display and apart from slightly sluggish Stacks performance I haven't noticed any issues.
