Hi, does anyone tried if the new 25w MagSafe charges a iPhone 16 from 0 to 50% in 30 mins as per what Apple claimed?

I have seen youtube videos and all of them don’t even hit the 50% mark in 30 mins which is disappointing. I wonder if this is a software bug

Yeah, I’m having issues with the 25w MagSafe. It’s charging so slowly and that’s plugged into a 65W Anker. If I plug in the USB-C cable that came with the phone, it charges fine.
I did read on Reddit that people that have a July build phone are having problems with slow wireless charging and people with an August build are not having the same issues. I did speak to tech Support who ran a diagnostic check and could find no problems.

So I think the issue may be with some charging bricks and the new 25w MagSafe charger. I ordered a UGreen 100w dual charger from Amazon and tried it last night. My 16 Pro Max chraged from 43% to 80% in just over 20 mins. Using the Anker or Belkin, it was charging at the rate of no more than 2 or 3% per hour

Have you tried with the original Apple charger? Say a MacBook charger. I’m just wondering if the 30 mins 50% claim is true

No not as yet. i need to dig one out. Unless proved differently, I would say that the only charger that will work properly from Apple will be their 30w charging brick.
otherwise it’s trial and error

I use an Apple 30W charger + the new Magsafe and it charges pretty fast, just like what they promise.

Well, as I said earlier switch into a UGreen charger and it’s charging great.
What is confusing me? Is that the Belkin and Anker 65w that I couldn’t get to charge my phone up using the 25w MagSafe puck is working perfectly in another room using the old MagSafe 15w puck.
It has to be a compatibility issue with MagSafe puck and some third-party chargers

Yes im at july build the new 25w magsafe charger charges up to 99% its doesnt go to 100% i am wondering it is software problem? I notice the problem after ios 18.01

my 16 pro max with the new faster MagSafe puck with apples 30w charging brick is so slow, no where near the same as usb c plug in. whats the issue. it is not charging at 25w at all

I just uploaded a video on this. The iPhone 16 Pro gets hot when charging. The charging speed isn't bad though for a wireless charger. My phone charged 70% in 1 hour but the last 30% took 45 minutes dude to throttling because of the heat.

Cool. Does the new 25w magSafe get warmer than old 15w magsafe? Do you think the 25w magsafe may degrade iPhone battery health more quickly?

The 25w was my first Apple MagSafe charger. I took it back because I was afraid of it cooking my battery. I didnt want my phone to charge hot everyday.
