So I noticed that when I fast forward or backward in any app on tvOS 26.4 that the video will start to play but audio won’t. Only after a couple of seconds the audio will come back on, which is super annoying when you want to go backward to hear what was said. Now I just go backward much further in time, so by the time the audio comes back in again it will be on time for the scene I wanted to rewatch.

I first thought this was an app issue, but I noticed it in multiple apps. Then I remembered that Apple “fixed” an audio issue in 26.4 which seems to have created a new issue. I have a Sonos Arc with 2 surrounds and a Sub. I was wondering if other people have this issue too. Obviously I didn’t have this issue before 26.4

Found the solution. The new tvOS 26.4 feature “Continuous Audio Connection” under Audio Format was the culprit. By default this is turned on after the update. Turning it off solved the issue.
