27" 3week shipping wait

i went to order an i7 27" iMac...

it said 3weeks to ship, so i checked the core 2 duo 27" also 3weeks, does this mean they have fixed the issues and are waiting for the shipments?

Apple claims the shipping delay has to do with the overwhelming popularity of the iMac and doesn't acknowledge any problems with it. So officially, the delay has nothing to do with a monitor free of defects. That's the message Apple has put out there.

I don't believe the delay is related to fixing display issues. Week 6 still has some problems, maybe not as many, but yellow may show up, as well as the uneven backlight lighting.
