27" iMac EMC 2429 anyone know if hard drive replacement requires special sensor cable

Looking to replace a hard drive in an 27" iMac EMC 2429 and just trying to find out if I'll need that special sensor cable for the thermal controls to work properly after replacing the hard drive?
