Getting new iMac today. Since keyboard and mouse are wireless, is it OK to leave charging cables plugged in at the back? Reason I'm asking - seems awkward to have to reach around and plug in every time they need charging.
Does anyone just leave their keyboard plugged in all the time and not use wireless. Obviously that's not an option on mouse do to location.
Hope these are not stupid questions.

First of all you'll only need a single cable since both, keyboard and mouse, are charged via Lightning.
Second, you will only need to charge the mouse every 1-2 months and the keyboard every 3-4 months.
Third, you can leave that cable plugged in at the back of the iMac if it doesn't bother you.
Fourth, the keyboard is probably not designed to be connected to a power source 24/7 so I don't know how well the internal charge controller and the battery are going to handle it.

And last but not least: I think you're overthinking this ;)

Side note re charging the mouse: after a charge (with computer on already), system doesn't seem to "see" the mouse again until after a restart. Just an FYI. Anyone else notice this?
