27" iMac - LogMeIn Painfully Slow

I've been trying out Logmein...and logging into my home iMac 27" from my work computer is painfully slow. I am on a fast connection at home and at work. Does anyone else have this issue, and is there a fix?

Are there any faster alternatives to LogMeIn (other than running Windows)?
