Resolved 27" Imac parts

Hi,

I need to replace the display power cable port on a 27" mid 2011 Imac. Any suggestions on where I can
get one?

After doing a little research I'm thinking to buy a "parts" mother board and scavage the port from it. Has anyone attempted this? Is it compicated or a strait forward solder job?

Bought a good used logic board and replaced the broken one. There is no way i could see to solder a new port on.

Maybe you can install the connector ensuring that the pins make contact, and then secure it with adhesive tape. Have you tried it? I think it worths a try
