27-in iMac and iPad(2?) OR MBP and external monitor

I do web development but less and less do I find the need to do so on the go. However, I do surf the internet a lot on the go. I'm not in my home often but I would like a hub for all my media and then the ability to bring much of it with me, along with a machine that is functional.
