    Hi guys,

Does 2gb VRAM effect the rendering of video files from FCP or AE etc?

    Thanks,

    Rai.

Video rendering depend much more to cpu and system RAM. Despite the name 'video rendering' .. It actually cpu intensive task rather than 'video card'

So, just go for 1GB VRAM, but be sure to use i7 CPU

I am still holding out hope for devs to start using the GPU to supplement CPU processes. I am sure it will come at some point, but the sooner the better.

Handbrake would be the first app I would want to see use this. :)
