It might be designated an 'Apple Smart Micro LED monitor', and not an iPad.
With features:
1) Built in iPad OS
2) Pen enabled
3) Dual hardware Monitor/standalone functionality.
And maybe a built in battery for mobile use, where an outlet is unavailable. So technically it would be an iPad and a monitor, but it would discourage all the purists who would get all in a bunch.
So you would have Mac OS, keyboard switchable to iPad OS (and portability), and BEST the MS Surface.
They should maybe do this to all iPads. Or at least starting with the 12". Then again, they are good as they are. No complaints.
