I've currently got a 24" Dell 2560x1440 monitor, connected via DisplayPort and looking to up the size to 27"

I've turned my home-office into bit of a den too, with a nice comfy chair, so want bit of a bigger screen to watch Youtube/AppleTV etc whilst the wife's watching her stuff on the TV

I don't want bigger than 27" as I have to work at my Mac too and 27" is perfect, any larger and it's too much

I'm considering these 2 currently; any other suggestions (FYI budget is a max of £350/£400 absolute tops really, less would be better and it needs to be 2560x1440)

I have the Dell U2718Q 4K with my 2018 Mac Mini and am very happy with it. I didn't realize until I got it quite how much I would use and appreciate its swivel and height adjustments as well as the extra USB 3 charging ports.

Be aware that the Dell you mention in the OP is not 4k, but is a "1440p" display.
That may be fine with you, but be sure that you understand "the difference" between 1440p and 4k BEFORE you put your money down for it.

Looks to be the same for the HP, too.

To update

Ordered that monitor yesterday from Amazon, landed with me an hour ago; it's heading back to Amazon! 🤬 🤨

The whole of the left hand side of the screen is yellow whereas the right hand of the screen is nice and bright white, how it should be!

Plugged my Dell P2418D back in and zero issues, screen is exactly as it should be!

Both connected with a USB C to DP cable etc

Will stick with the 24" monitor for now 😐
