iPod touch 2g or wait for 3g?

alright im buying an ipod touch today. maybe
But i just wanna make sure, what the 3g can, that the 2g can't.
I dont want to wait, if im not even going to use the new stuff.

And what more is it going to cost?

No one will know for sure until the 3G is announced. Most people are expecting a camera, and a 64GB model. You're probably better off waiting 1 1/2-2 months for the 3G.
