Does anybody know how to get 4K or 2K video onto the iPad pro? Nothing from my camera seems to be compatible. Does it only accept 4K video from the iPhone 6S?

Also, 1080p looks kind of disappointing on the Pro due to the higher screen resolution. Does the videos app support 2K video?

Thanks guys

Here is what is shown at the iPad Pro specs page:

Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 1080p, 60 frames per second, High Profile level 5.0 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format

I was able to get 2k and 4K video to play on my iPad Pro, but those were just videos downloaded off YouTube transferred over via Aidrop. But it didn't look like 4K quality, so I'm guessing it downscales them to 1080p, which is a bummer and a complete waste of screen resolution.

Yea I don't understand why they don't allow native play back. Would love to watch YouTube videos in 4K

So...if you shoot a 4k video on your iPhone, and you upload it via iCloud Photo Library, and download it on iPad Pro...what resolution is it?
