So today, I was just interviewed at the first stage of the hiring process for apple which is the group seminar. Then after the seminar, I received a call an hour after the interview telling me I have a 2nd interview. Great! right? But most of the forums I've read shown indication that the interview was at the apple store but they told me it would be located in the same place I had my Seminar? Whats wrong with this picture? What to expect to wear, still business casual?
Note: I am applying for Specialist in SF, CA

You're worrying over a retail job. That's one problem.

Not very helpful, but he's got a point.

I'm not sure I understand what your question, or issue is, here. Are you worried that the second interview is scheduled to take place in a different location from where you had originally understood such interviews take place, i.e. the location of the seminar rather than an Apple store?

This tells me a number of things.

Firstly: Those seeking to recruit choose to interview candidates where it suits them to do so. It's not a big deal, and you are worrying excessively over something that is not of huge importance when you ask about precedents.

Secondly: the decision of who to hire is being taken at a possibly higher level than merely at the level of the local Apple store.

Thirdly: It is entirely possible that they have chosen to interview a large number of candidates, and for reasons of fairness/quality control have chosen to do it themselves.

Fourthly: Re dress, err on the side of caution. Business casual, with the emphasis on looking smart, not casual is fine, if business casual is what they have suggested.

Good luck with it.

Or you could just act like an idiot which is what Apple hires for its stores. They don't want people who have actually used their products, like me who have used them since the Apple //. Whip out a Blackberry and use, that for sure will get you hired.

One thing is a fact, Apple does NOT hire fanboys. That's the number one mistake people make when going to apple interviews.
