My iWishList:

loud speaker

GPS
MMS
bluetooth for file transfer
video cam
32GB

yeah I know iwish. what features do you want to see on the 2nd gen iPhone?

No, that's about the most realistic list of new features that I've seen. Good for you for having dreams that conform to the laws of physics.

thanks, but I doubt Apple has added these features to the iPhone because there would be no reason to release a 3rd Gen iPhone next year, the biggest upgrade it could do would be 64GB flash memory nothing more.

get a N95 and find a large memory card

or wait till iphone 3/4

I've had trouble working with Nokia phones, after owning an iphone for almost 10 months its impossible for me to work with N95

likewise. Had the iPhone since iDay, sold it on ebay on wednesday and been using an N95.

been looking on ebay almost everyday since to see if i can find a cheap 4GB to get me through till the end of june or even later - depending on when apple begins selling in the UK and someone unlocks/activates/jailbreaks it

HA! Oh, man... that was a GOOD one!

You can't have a serious phone without a physical keyboard. USB is nice, but it's not compatible with anything. This "mouse" looks to goofy to be a real asset. 640k ought to be enough for anyone. Computers will never be a home appliance.

His name is Steve Jobs, and he created every computer in existence by virtue of having pioneered the technology behind every computer in existence. Today's definition of a computer is what it is because of him... and he's going to rewrite it for OS XI.

This is the least accurate statement I've heard this week.

But Steve would be happy for you to keep believing it...

Steve didn't pioneer much except the reality distortion field.

I didn't know they were serving Kool-Aide here?! Come'on guys! I'm thirsty!

My wish list would be the same, but I would take no GPS over a thicker phone.

I'm glad you've got realistic wishes and not an OLED powered display, blah blah blah.

My list is about the same other than I don't really need MMS or bluetooth for file transfer (i might use those but there not really big on my list) the others would be great to have and I am hoping they will have it in v2.

And I'm sure that you'd much rather be using DOS, SCSI, and a floppy drive today. Yes, that sentence is an extrapolation, but it is based on the fact that Apple invented the mouse and personal computer GUI. If you'd like to see a computers of 2008 without Steve and Apple's innovations, go find a Prime 300 and imagine that physical and virtual interface with a processor in the gigahertz.

my small list, ranked by importance...

32GB
3G
GPS
bluetooth headphone capable
oh and 499$ price point (that would eliminate the 8GB, forcing the 16GB to 399$)

last but not least, the same battery life as Gen1, or better. I can deal with the same times as v1, but nothing less. I think apple will nail this part.

forgot something! id like to see some button functionality to where you can skip to the next song by clicking an actual button. Its pretty frustrating unlocking the phone everytime in the car when driving...

That's what my list would be plus iChat. But I think the realistic stuff is video cam and GPS and obviously 3G, they most likely won't include the others. Although a louder speaker and copy and paste isn't unrealistic. 32GB, probably not, MMS nope, bluetooth for file transfer probably not, doubt there will be GPS as well.
