do u guys think that if the new iPhone had 3G that I could hook it up to my macbook via USB and get Internet from it? Would that cost extra?

Great if it were true, but Apple didn't invent either thing. The mouse and GUI were invented by Xerox. The Apple Lisa and Macintosh 128K were both based HEAVILY on the operating system for the Xerox Alto, which had a GUI more than 6 years before the 128K was announced.
Keep on drinking that Kool Aid.
And yes, tethering a phone (sharing the internet connection over USB) typically requires a special plan. You can do it without but they can terminate your service if you do.
Tap the home button twice, it'll bring up music controls without your having to unlock the phone.
Apple. Xerox. Of those two, who actually took that tech to the mainstream market? History isn't about who did something. History is about who did something about it.
The Chinese invented movable type, but I'm pretty sure Gutenberg never left Europe.
What it all comes down to is the fact that Apple did it... and no one else did. Well, not until Microsoft did and Apple sued them for copying too well.
Make it work on Verizon without jailbreak. I can dream can't I? 
And I have to second Tallest Skil, Apple may not have invented these things per se, but putting a product out to consumers for the first time even if the idea was not wholly your own is probably more revolutionary than inventing something and keeping it under-wraps.

A better camera. So you don't have to be really careful about holding it when taking a photo. and maybe a flash for the camera as-well. but i'm guessing apple wouldn't put a flash on it because there is no way of doing it elegantly. fuh, bloody apple.

1. I've always wanted to see a call timer for the length of past calls (in recent calls).
2. A true "Silent" function, not just a silent ring I have to load and set when I don't want to hear vibrate, or stock, silly rings..
3. Kind of wish the airplane function was a little easier accessed (like a shortcut or something).
Now my petty stuff: (believe me, they are VERY petty things)
4. Like to see the calender buttons/days a little bigger for my big ol' fingers. Just a little though.
5. Like to see the Usage/call timer, in total hours. Not days AND hours.
6. Wish the calculator would reset to "clear" (0) after the calculator was finished being used. (see, petty stuff)
7. Those, and the "beat to death" copy paste function.
Guess these are really only gripes on the current phone, but honestly, other than these little things (that I can - and have lived with) the phone is perfect IMO. Seriously!

Apple sued them...and lost, because it turns out they'd licensed the tech in exchange for Microsoft Office for Mac. Oops.
The only reason Apple got the tech from Xerox was because they hired the engineers who created it in the first place. But, you're still incorrect. The mouse was first brought to market by Xerox, as was the GUI-- both shipped with the Xerox Star, a commercially available personal computer released in 1981. The idea of the mouse with a GUI was being considered more than 10 years before that. Apple's Lisa, another attempt at a GUI personal computer, was ALSO a commercial failure.
It was as much a case of being in the right place at the right time as it was a case of any kind of innovation or revolution.
Invention and development is not about who markets it the best. It's about who invents it and gets it to market first. Making something "popular" does not equate to "discovering" it.
Steve is a master of marketing. Not a master of invention.

iPhone's headphone jack is set into the frame of the iPhone so you can ONLY use Apple's headphones or an adapter.
Ooh that's crap, don't fancy hearing crappy iPod headphone sound again! I'm very used to Sennheisers now!
