I set a passcode on my iPod Touch to keep out my brother, but he tried to get in so many times it got locked until it said "Connect to iTunes." The day before, my computer had stopped working (a problem with the power routers). We sent the computer in to be fixed, and while it was there, they re-imaged (a fancy word for wiped the same one and put it back in) my hard drive, and so when I connect my iPod to iTunes it says it can't use the device because it is passcode locked.

I've tried the first generation solution, but it hasn't worked. How do I fix this?

Have you ever backed up your iTunes library?

Because your iPod should be linked with your iTunes account so if your account matches I think that should fix the problem. If not, maybe bring it in to an apple store for a genius to look at it.
