OK, so I have a new Maxtor hard drive now connected to a SATA PCI card (see specs below), and I've moved my entire iTunes collection to that harddrive. However, everytime I click on iTunes and try to start a song, the drive makes this chime and has to start up before playing the song. I get a 5 second beach ball basically. I looked under the energy savings and saw the "Put drives to sleep when possible" option and I thought that unclicking this might do the trick. If that will solve my problem, will this make my drive fail earlier? Thanks!
