2nd RAM slot not working?

Macbook not accepting any RAM I use in the 2nd slot....using 2GB DDR2 667, have tried 5 different chips of varying sizes. New RAM works in slot 1, but not slot 2. Any ideas?

The old 2gb stick doesnt work in slot 2 either.

Sounds like the slot is bad unless you aren't seating it properly.

Which MacBook does your problem apply to? Some of the earlier macbooks have two slots, but are limited to 2 GB total ram.

My MacBook1,1 also has a dead RAM slot - such is life. I just got a single 2GB stick and popped it in the good slot; good to go!
