I can buy a rMBP with this price! Even an iMac!
I knew it was going to be expensive but 2.5K for 1TB?
2TB would be near as 5K!

If Mosaid is able to lower the price down to under 1000, this would be hit product.
But then again, that wont be possible until couple more years.

It's way over the top... can't wait for a few years from now when all these SSD solutions will be as affordable as RAM today. I remember when a 1MB upgrade to my IBM 486 was a small fortune

We don't know what the pricing is going to be yet. If we go off the new competitive pricing guidelines that micron / crucial are using the price of the 2TB drives would come in at around $1200 - 1600. Now if folks are spending $1300 on 768GB SSD in the new iMac, I don't think the cost of this 2TB is going to be a show stopper. We'll just have to wait and see.
