I was in the process of jailbreaking my iPhone 3G with RedSn0w (Windows) and when the "shift+click restore" process was done this popped up in iTunes:

"The SIM card in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.

Only compatible SIM cards from a supported Carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with you iPhone or visit a supported Carrier's store to receive a replacement SIM card."

Which I don't have by the way because I'm on the T-Mobile network.

Before I started jailbreaking I had updated to 3.0 from 2.2.1 directly via iTunes which I'm assuming was correct..

So what did I do wrong?

I really wish I was aware of that

Is this reversible or can I at least just stick someone else's AT&T SIM card and continue??
