I agree that you should update from iTunes, there may be some last minute bug fixes or stability improvments.do you need to update? If so, do you do it from iTunes or do you need to download file from Dev site?

another hour to go until the next phase happens which may include a few hours wait for the download to work due to server apocalypse
what's the point in saying "rumour has it" when we already know what time it will be from an official source
It's starting to take iTunes longer to check for the update. About 2.5 seconds last check. Must mean more folks are hitting the button.
It should change to saying 3.0, but why wouldn't you update to 2.2.1? It's been out a while now.

There will still be high server traffic but not like last year with that many more trying to activate there phone also. I hope it goes smooth this year...

I was in the same boat. It was just too much hassle for so little reward IMO. It took my over an hour with the 2.0 upgrade to get my phone jailbroken and all the apps back, etc. It hasn't been an issue until recently when apps started only upgrading/downloading for 2.2.1.

Me too... But as you said its not!.. Although should we really be that surprised! I spoke to our Account Manager at movistar on Monday and he knew nothing about the 3GS or when they were getting it... (He actually said they didn't know what it was going to be called yet!!!!)
