3.1.2 update - does it bring back missing carrier logo?

If your carrier logo went missing with the Baseband 4.26/jailbroken 3.1 problem, does it re-appear after doing a 3.1.2 official update? If so, does it disappear again after doing a blackra1n jailbreak on 3.1.2?

I was missing the logo on my 3.1 jailbreak, and now it's back after my blackra1n JB.

The only thing that made it disappear was bc 3.1 didn't like the old baseband, so when we upgrade to 3.1.2, the bb gets updated and it's back.

Yes, if you update to the new baseband, it will correctly communicate your carrier to the 3.1 or 3.1.2 firmware.
 
I updated & jailbroke using the new Pwnage tool, and the carrier logo is still missing, but I guess that makes sense since as far as I know Pwnage doesn't update the Baseband?

What does MIM do?
 
And by the way, "MIM" is short for the program "Make It Mine." Don't go doing a search in Cydia for MIM. You will not find it. 🙂
