Make sure to check the baseband on your phone to see if it is smaller than 05.14. If it is, then you can install ultrasn0w and it will unlock your phone. If it is 05.14 or higher, then ultrasn0w doesn't work on it.
The only way you can unlock your phone is to install Ipad baseband. Again, if you install Ipad baseband, your phone GPS functionality is dead.
If you still decide to go this route, then we need to start all over again because with using later redsn0w version, it will not recognize your 3.1.3 version.
Here is what you need to do;
1. Download ipad 1 3.2.2 onto your computer
2. Restore your phone with Itunes, it will bring the phone up to date with 4.2.1 firmware.
3. Download Redsn0w 0.9.6b6 onto your computer
4. Run Redsn0w, when it ask for firmware, click on 4.2.1 firmware (if you don't have this on your computer, you need to download it), click on "install Cydia" as well as "Install Ipad baseband" and follow instruction.
5. Install ultrasn0w from Cydia to unlock your phone.
