ive tried and every time i do 1 it says that i cant because the phone isnt authorized or somethin like that

It's not possible to downgrade yet as someone already mentioned.

Dude, you asked the question and I told you not yet.

Apple quit signing the 3.0 and 3.0.1 IPSW's for 3GS so iTunes won't allow you to select them.

It's being worked on, and although it seems patience isn't gonna be your strong suite, just give it a week or so, you may be in luck.

If you have a 3G, you can downgrade anytime to any firmware

If you have a 3GS, you cannot downgrade unless you captured your SHSH files some time ago thru Cydia.

But, I believe the tools to downgrade a 3GS on 3.1 will be released soon
