Looking to maybe get a Mac mini to run as a server and looking for an external enclosure that would work well. Looking for multiple drive setups. Minimum 4 bay. Would the larger the better so long as they can plug into the USB-C/thunderbolt setup. Data transfer rate isn’t the biggest issue.
 
I moved my server over to 2.5” drives years ago. I’m in a home environment. Heat and noise are important criteria. For 3.5” enclosures, try OWC. They’re cost effective and, my experience, reliable. I also use Oyen's (above). Great little enclosures.
