3.5mm input to output over AirPods?

Hello!

I want to buy a 3.5mm <-> 3.5mm cable to connect my Nintendo Switch to my iPhone so that I can broadcast the audio from my Switch to my AirPods.

Is there an app that will take 3.5mm input and output over Bluetooth?

Setup:
Nintendo Switch ----audio output headphone jack----> 3.5mm cable -> iPhone -> AirPods

I have one and use it with an A/V receiver that doesn't support Bluetooth - works great.

Not looking for a bluetooth transmitter. I would rather buy a cheap 3.5mm cable.

The 3.5mm headphone socket is output only, don't believe there is a way to turn it into an input.
