The Misty Mountains
Science fiction. The 4th disclaimer made me chuckle: Gore. Language, nudity, smoking, suicide, violence

Two episodes in and I am grabbed. Not sure yet if this is a multi-verse setting. There is contact from somewhere else, people seeing counters that count down, they alone see that compel them to stop important work they are doing, one way or the other. Strange things are happening, including a headset that appears with an invite to play that whisk people away to a highly advanced virtual reality game.

Note, I tried to get into Dark Matter Recently, dark visually, but I failed.

Show is really good and they apparently have an ending so it is not a series that is going to drag on till the ratings tank.

I finished it and am looking forward to next season. There is some action, but it’s far from an action thriller, although what is happening is easily understood SciFi, not multi-verse, or alternate realities, at least I don’t think so. 🤔 The Season final is not a climax at all, just ended until next Season picks back up.

After seeing this thread, I binged all 8 episodes and I’m thoroughly hooked and looking forward to the next season. Did anyone else catch the irony in Dr. Ye’s joke? I’ve been debating this with my brother and he doesn’t get it.

Pretty great, the only negative is one of the actors chewing the hell out of the scenery every chance they get, but that aside, the rest of the story & entire production is about the best sci-fi series I've seen in many years.

Seems like everything I see Rosalind Chao and Liam Cunningham in turns out to be pretty good.
