Hi,
What's your thoughts on this? I have At&T and can't wait to get a new ipad.

I have an iphone 4 and love it.

Pros and cons please! Love this forum.

If you have bOth simply get a wifi pad an add tethering to you existing iPhone data plan. The iPhone data plan with tethering is $45. The seperate plans would also be $25 but with tethering plan you can use up to 4gb on you ipad as opposed to 2gb. Also save $130 dollars on ipad.

Thank you. Good advice. You say wifi pad. Is that different than just using the iphone? A seperate device? thanks again.

Ummm. The wi-fi iPad2 is the device you are wanting to provide the hotspot to, right?

If so, then tethering your iPhone is good if you know your coverage map well...and stay within the bounds.

I believe that method or a personal hotspot is the way to go because you can connect other devices to either.

Also, hotspots will upgrade to 4G and so will phones. The iPad is a static device. Software upgrades yes, hardware upgrades no.

You will have to read other threads for the personal hotspot meant for you, if you go that route.

Peace,

gdc

Thanks so much for this advice. Will search about personal hot spots.
