So i tried to preorder using apple.com but it didn't open until 2:10am CST for me. Luckily there were still 11/3 delivery dates BUT i couldn't get past the carrier verification for sprint until 3:50am CST. So I placed my order for In Store pick up on 11/3 in St. Louis.* At that point shipping was 5-6 weeks and i for sure wasn't going to wait for that. So who here has traveled for an iPhone release?

* I did this last year for the iPhone 7 Plus as well.

about 3 hours and some minutes to, and the same back, to stand in line 24h for the 6s release and iphones before that.
This year for the first time: home delivery.

Nice time of year for a little road. Enjoy!

I live in a geographical oddity.. We are an hour and a half away from everywhere. Everything from iPhones to toilet paper is a road trip..

thanks to apple lol? u chose to preorder from a store 3 hours away

because the wait was 5-6 weeks to ship to home and 11/3 for in store pickup 2 hours later when i was actually able to secure an order due to the apple store not working properly...
