3 weeks for Macbook pro?

I ordered my MacBook pro (the only change was the glossy screen and upgrading 160GB hard drive to 7200rpm) on August 9th. When I looked into it this week, I was told it would ship on Aug 24th (yesterday).

Is this normal? Having ordered things from Apple before (but only iPods) this seems really long to me....

Well mine took six weeks to ship so I guess that they are in high demand and have been since they were introduced. It will be worth the wait! Good luck!

I ordered mine late fri night at this point it says it will ship out mon - wens.. so thats not to bad.. But who knows what will really happen.. Either way i can wait. 🙂
