I am doing a Mac Pro 5,1 project (specs in sig) and just aquired a 30" ACD locally.

Unfortunately it was a 2004 model so no HDCP. The seller gave me a Club3d USB-C to DL DVI adapter which I tried on my M1 Pro MBP and it works fine but there are a small amount of artifacts on screen.

I bought a Club3D CAC-1010-A for my 5,1 Mac Pro for DP to DL-DVI and I am having the same issues but worse artifacts. Is something wrong with my display?

At 1280x800 no artifacts but at 2560x1600 both adapters give artifacts.

Thanks

Suspect the cables first (the adaptors) and see if you can plug straight into a DVI source, or try something other than the Club3D brand - get the Apple MB571Z/A Mini Display Port to Dual Link DVI Adapter (eBay) and then for the MacBook Pro you will need the USB-C to mini display port adaptor. This one I know works well between M1 Mac's (Studio) and the Apple MB571Z/A adaptor and finally the ACD 30" -

Alright this is what I suspected as well. So I brought out my media pc and installed an older GPU with DL-DVI.

So far no artifacts. It's probably both of those club3d adapters. I'm going to look for that apple mini displayport to dual dvi adapter and buy a DP to mDP dongle to attach to my GPU.

I don't need this monitor for my M1 pro MBP it was just something I tested since he included type-c adapter.
