hi, I just acquired a 30 inch Apple Cinema HD Display, with a native resolution of 2560x1600. I have it connected to my MacBook Pro (mid 2010), but the highest resolution of the display is only that of my MBP, 1280x800. I purchased a DVI dual-link converter (this one), but it doesn't seem to work?
Does anyone know how to fix this or have any idea what's going wrong?
Thanks so much!

I think you need to buy a dual-link DVI cable not the converter you have there. The ACD has a dual DVI not the MDP.

oh, but the display has a dual-link DVI, I got the converter to connect it to my MBP's mini displayport. Do you mean that I need something else in between?

That's very likely the only thing. The adapter you bought is to connect a regular DVI monitor to your Macbook.

The monoprice MDP->DL DVI adapter is cheaper and should work just as well (people are saying it actually works better than the Apple one).
