I just set up a classroom of eMacs that were still in boxes from storage. I connected them to my new Xserve and ran a ARD report on my MBP.

30 of my eMacs have the seral number that fall in the range of the recall and one of them is already having problems.

What should I tell Apple? What demands should I tell them? Class starts in one and a half month so I have very little time.

I would phone up apple and see what they will do for you. They don't sell the emac anymore so I don't know what they will do. They may send you new education imacs. But I would phone them and get them replaced with something(only if its free) As sooner or later many of those emacs may have the problem.

Yeah, if you tell them you need them in a month. It should not take too long to ship machines out to you even if it is standard shipping. You have lots of time if you get the ball moving right away.

You might get lucky and receive free bonus* brand new iMac-lites too 😛

Ah well who am I kidding, we are talking about a for-profit organisation here 🙄
