30" LCD Display Review

Ok,

I'm gearing up to buy my new Mac Pro setup (Just waiting for escrow).

I keep going back and forth on which monitors to buy.

I love the clean look of the ACD's. Aesthetics are important but not enough to trump a major performance hit.

I want two 30" displays but I'm honestly unaware of how other 30" displays on the market size up against the 30" ACD.

Anyone using a 30" other than the ACD's?

I'm a web developer/designer and also do some video editing/compositing and amateur photography.

Appreciate the help.

I think with these types of activities, you're going to want to get the 30" merely for the color accuracy they are known for. There are some other high end color accurate monitors made by NEC, i believe. But if IIRC, they are more expensive and aren't aluminum. 🙄

Yea. I really want those ACD's. They'd look so good mounted on LCD arms. 😀

We use 30" ACD's. They're simply awesome and beautiful, I can't recommend them enough.

Actually, they make great places to stick post-its. Those matte screens are perfect bulletin boards. 😛
