I drive a 09 Kia Sportage, it has USB and Aux plug ins and I have been using a special cord, manufactured by Kia, to plug my iphone 4 into both the USB and aux ports at the same time in order to control and play music on my phone with the controls on the dash. (this is the cord: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007K949TW/ref=pe_175190_21431760_3p_M3T1_ST1_dp_1)

It's always worked great but now I have the iphone 5s and they dont make this cord with the lightning connector. Can i use a 30 pin to lightning adapter to use this cord? will the functionality with my car's dash still work? I just dont want to spend 40 bucks on something if it might not work, i can always use a basic Aux cord but i really like being able to control my music with the controls on the dash...

It works 100% on my 2013 Optima without UVO.

My wife has a 2013 Rio with UVO and just uses the standard Ligthning to USB cable.
