We might see the 32GB in March or April like last year if Apple follows the same trend, but I don't see them releasing the 32GB until the summer with the next revision.

Like others have said, I don't see a 32GB iPhone until the summer at the earliest, and possibly not until the fall.

Probably June but seeing Apple has other stuff to think about, September(iPod Event) could be a good guess as well.

Whenever it arrives, there will be outrage from those whose AT&T contracts will not allow for a phone upgrade.

From a technical perspective, 32 GB iPhones are possible now that 32 GB chips are readily accessible and not cost-prohibitive. This is why there was a 32 GB iPod touch but not a 32 GB iPhone - the touch has two slots, the iPhone only has one due to the extra space required for various communication hardware.

So up until a little while ago, it wasn't even possible - now at least it is, so it's really just Apple's decision on when they want to release the upgrade. With it, there is no reason not to expect a 64 GB iPod touch as well.

I'm going to quote something found in the Buyer's Guide of MacRumors.

32gb NAND chips start Production in Early 2009, don't expect an updated iPhone before that

In other words, no 32GB iPhone will come out until 32GB NAND chips are available and Apple adopts them.

My guesstimate? Around late February to early April.

Edit - Oh and BTW, I honestly think 32GB in a phone is quite enough. I don't think anyone can listen completely to 1000 songs in a day. I can see the space being needed for Movies or TV shows, but not music.

In your opinion. That doesn't mean other people really do want to have 32GB worth of music and video with them. I would love a 32GB or bigger iPhone. On top of that, I would still bring one of my iPods for car use.

I know Samsung and Toshiba are making the 32gb chips and I think Intel might be close behind, if not already making them, but who makes the 16gb chips that are in the iphone now?

No what I said was I think it is impossible for anyone to listen to 1000 songs in a day one after the other. Music wise, 8GB is more than enough, even if you switch around.

Now, TV or Movie wise I think 256GB is enough

You're right, it is impossible. Given an average track length of 3 minutes, the most songs you could listen to non-stop in a single 24 hour period is 480.

However, there are people such as myself that don't like to micro-manage playlists and such. I want every single song on my computer to also be on my iPhone. 8GB may be enough music for you, but not for me.

If I thought this way about my media (audio, pictures, video) I would be so screwed... (new topic, when will 1TB iPhone release?)

I tell ya what, I am looking forward to the 128GB iPhone, but as for when the 32GB is coming...

You will know its going to be coming soon when the supply of the 8GB iPhones fall in short supply.

Are there any signs, when it will come?

Wow. You people amaze me.

Simply put, why does it matter? If you want an iPhone, go and buy one, and quit living your life in fear! Stop worrying about what tomorrow may (or may not) bring and start enjoying today!
