My 3GS 32GB iPhone has a whopping 450 MB free and that's without syncing all my music. So, yeah, I got the 64 GB version.

On a tight budget. Going with the 16gb. 90% of my music listening is via pandora/spotify and I'm pretty good about managing photos/videos. Usually only play 1-2 games at a time. So in the end, I'll save the $100 and apply it to the early upgrade when the 5 is released :D

I've got about 2gb remaining. And i would actually like to load more pictures my phone and maybe a bit more music but I'm out of space.

But with the cloud can't I upload most all of my pics to the cloud and view them there?

And ya above states that 1080p with for sure take more space.... Pictures will be larger in mb size due to the new optics and 8megapixel camera. Plus these firggin apps are huge now a days.

I want to talk myself out of getting a 64gb but I just don't think I can.

I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts on this, but I am seeing a lot of discussion on several boards about this issue as it relates to iCloud (and other virtual storage/app services.) I haven't seen one person bring up the point that VZW and AT&T have data limits now and this will be a factor in pushing and receiving data for streaming and storage.

Am I missing something here? Thoughts please...

This is purely speculation, but I can't see Apple allowing Verizon or AT&T to do anything that jeopardizes the functionality or success of iCloud. Apple has a lot riding on iCloud and anything the carriers do to negatively impact it (ie. data caps) would be a bad move down the road, especially in light of rumors of a future Apple exclusivity deal with Sprint.

If you're referring to the new tiered data plans, it's a bummer for those who are not grandfathered in on unlimited packages.
