Im wondering if my mbp (2.53 late 08) will do 3300x1050? Anyone know? I plan on using the mdp-vga adapter to VGA splitter from monoprice to 2 Acer x223w monitors for a combined res of 3300x1050. i would just like to know cause i just seen the same monitor i have now on sale for $99 and for 22" you really cant beat it. Thanks for the info.

Actually 2560x1600 has more pixels than your dual 22" set-up yes it could work. What you'd of course need to use DVI because VGA cannot handle that resolution (not to mention your video will be fuzzy). Basically you'd need the $99 DVI-D Dual Link adapter and then a DVI-D adapter that combine 2 signals into one.
