35 GB of "hidden" Backups HELP!

    My MBA is showing 35 GB of backup files in storage display on about this Mac.
    I am running 10.7.4 1.6 GHz i5 4GB 128SSD. These are not hidden in the mobile device backup files (at least I didnt see them). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    That's just Time Machine backup information saved on your SSD. OS X will overwrite it if it needs the space. It appears as available in Finder.

    so my movie conversion project for which i need the space on a temporary basis will use what it needs of the "backup" space? Thanks for the quick reply
