Yode, what Mac do you have? I am having the same problem. If you could let me know what you find out, I will do the same for you. I have a post on here too, and I will probably be calling Apple today to see what I can get worked out.

Thanks
Christopher

I think someone sneezed when they assembled your Mac! :p

I would be too. Frankly, I probably would have returned it because that would be hard for me to work (and live) with.

It has to be dirt or something. What else could it be?

I would have returned it but I was outside my 15 days. So oh well, it has been a GREAT machine.

I just got done cleaning it again (second time today). It is still there.

Christopher

I can only assume that it happened during assembly or maybe if you used compressed air and blew something back there but I don't know if that is possible.

Well I would agree with you on the assembly if it had been there the whole time, but it just showed up yesterday. As for the compressed air, I did use some on it about 3 weeks ago but not since. I never spray the screen with compressed air, only the keyboard and that is never pulling the trigger more than about an eighth of an inch.

Man that really sucks. I don't see any reason why Apple couldn't do something about it. I am going to go to an Apple store as soon as I can. Also I am sorry for crapping on your thread, by the way.

I have a 2.4ghz mac book pro and just recently I had a silvery/white pixel go bad. The problems with these computers are just building up.

This has been discussed before a few times, I myself having these spots appearing everywhere on my first gen MBP. The general consensus was that the LCD was kinda leaking, I suggest you push for a change.

did you contact apple about the LCD? if so, did they do anything about it?

Argh!!!

Does anyone know how the reservation thing works at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store?

The only day that I can go is Thursday, and after I get off work (3:30) and it is a 2+ hour drive just to get there.

I wish there was an Apple Store closer.

Christopher

Two hours?! Just call Apple care and they will send you out a box and ship it to them in that. The guys at the Apple store aren't going to be able to fix your screen for you while you wait anyway.

I know that. It is just a reason to talk my girlfriend in going to Atlanta. There is a REALLY good place to eat close by to that Apple Store.

...and you know honey, I am so tired from driving, standing in line, eating that large meal... I think we ought to get a room and stay the night... hint, hint.
