armies...
The army you choose depends somewhat on what fighting style you would like to use. I collect Tyranids (which I marked in your poll) and Eldar. I build and play my Tyranids as a close combat army. They are amazing once they get up to the enemy. The problem is that sometimes it can be hard to get there (i.e. you're playing against Imperial Guard with sniper abilities). In most games, Hormagaunts can make it all the way up to the enemy line within the 2nd turn...sometimes the 1st. The trick I use is to let the enemy move first if you get to choose (or hope they move first if they pick...). The thing I don't necessarily like about Tyranids is the Synapse rule. Unless you buy quite a few Synapse creatures (Hive Tyrant, Warriors, etc.) it can be hard to keep the Gaunts up to the enemy. They always need a Synapse creature within 12" or they fall back easily. I build and play my Eldar as more of a range-fighting army. They also have awesome Psyker abilities which can come in handy...especially Mind War. I say, if you're not sure, research each army a little and see which one you find the most appealling (sic?) but also consider what fighting strategies each army has available. I haven't played against the Tau but a friend of mine said that it really sucks to fight against them...so maybe that's a good pick 🙂
