im not too happy about this at all, its melted near to end similar to how this picture looks

Any advice on how to go forward with this?
Im out of warranty. However Im planning to go to the mac shop tomorrow and demand a replacement, or i will be going to the small claims court (i live in the UK). Im a huge apple fan, but this is potentially a serious fire hazard. If I have to pay £100 for the cable, it will also mean no iPhone for me on friday (im on a tight budget after also buying leapord & an iPod touch last week).
Usually apple are excellent, so i hope they sort this mess out.
This is not the only complaint i have with my macbook. Since i got my macbook, the top and the bottom were not inline but i was assured by people on the forum that this was common & i didnt find it a problem. However this has recently caused the bottom of my mac to have a crack on it.
I also faced the random shutdown problems last year.
I love my macbook however im getting a bit annoyed by all these problems; mainly because its preventing me from play world of warcraft. thanks for listening to my rant
Ill post details of my apple store visit tomorrow & pics of the melted cable/cracked macbook later
One thing to note, my cable only started to overheat once i installed leopard on friday. coincidence???
