It's just a guessing game at the moment. Though, I wouldn't rule it out.

I also wouldn't be surprised if all of the metal clasp bands are eventually made available with space black finish and maybe even aluminium finish (less likely) once the initial production rush is out of the way.

I really have no idea why it was not an option from the get go. Maybe apple felt the leather loop is too wide for the 38mm? Who knows though.

I do hope they bring this out in 38mm. Had my try on appointment yesterday and although 42mm SS looked ok on my wrist, I have decided on 38mm SS.

However, my favourite loop out of the ones I tried was easily the blue leather loop.

I am getting a black Sport band initially so I can use it at the gym, maybe a third party will fill the gap that this loop leaves at 38mm?
