No, you can (and should) call BS assuming the timestamp from a frickin' SNMP server is the be all end all of the order Apple put these things into their system.
Maybe they put you in line when you start to checkout.
Maybe there are a million mail servers.
Maybe Tim Cook found that homophobic slur you made in the 4th grade and decided to wear your watch in the shower today.
Maybe you should think maybe, just maybe, handling this many orders is actually kind of a logistical nightmare that not a single other company has to deal with.

- actually apple should be able to handle it easily as they had just as many SKUs during the iPhone 6 launch - 6 models x 4 carriers = 24 SKUs
Actually, they had more than that. 2 sizes x 3 colors x 3 capacities x 4 carriers = 72 SKUs at most. Although, I don't know if every carrier had its own models or if some shared. But even if VZW/Sprint and ATT/T-Mo were paired up, still 36 SKUs. Any way you slice it, Apple is no stranger to massive volumes of preorders. Everything you said is right; if any company in the world should have been able to make a launch like this go smoothly, it's Apple.
holy cow i forgot about colors!! you are right! that's like half the SKUs here so yeah, shoulda gone better. Sounds like the management is the issue (Ahrendt?)
It's because they had massive yield problems when they went into production and not enough time to completely fix it. If they had delayed the launch date, the stock would have lost some serious value. Everyone is just waiting to short the stock.
they should have pushed it another two weeks before announcing i say, its not like a month out they can't anticipate the shortages right?
also, has any more motion happened or did we get boned again? if so i feel bad for the :01 guys who still haven't got charged.

My card company says they didn't put a hold on the card or anything. Told me to contact VISA directly (which they don't have a number listed anywhere on their site). Stupid

People worried about getting cut in front of... they only seem to be in order per country. Most of the times people are posting in here are for US. If you're posting from another country please your location in your post.

Sorry for the abridged message earlier but I have a shipment notification saying mine will arrive on Monday. Got my confirmation email 12:02:19, no EOD, Oregon USA, Apple Pay on the iPhone app. Got the delivery confirmation at 5:04PM today, coming via UPS.

The products are getting into peoples' hands at the moment they promised in the time frames they estimated thus far. Just because you are have to wait doesn't mean you're entitled to suggest that they should have waited until they could have satisfied your order until releasing to everyone else...
I also didn't get this doomed email. I'm thinking that is a BAD thing. Still haven't been charged.
Did you check for a credit card charge? Considering those as "movement" too.
