!!!! Oh wow! I wonder how many were between us (and before mine!) And I probably only beat you because I forgot to add Applecare!

Haha I was confident I was unofficially the first person to preorder this model but you proved me wrong. Anyone else manage to order it before 40 seconds of preorders going live? :p

Did you guys get the email in the last 12 hours saying that they are processing your order? I didn't get one so I'm wondering if that's a good thing or a really bad thing!

I preordered this model (38mm SG Sport), order confirmation at 3:03:25 EDT, Virginia shipping address, 4/24 - 5/8 window. I have received no debit card charge, no status change, no email, nothing at all. Since we have 3:01 people with no movement either, that gives me slight hope that most of this model is already sitting in the U.S. waiting to ship Next Day Air tonight.

The alternative is that Apple was fully aware that nobody ordering this model in the U.S. would receive it on 4/24, and chose to include 4/24 in their stated delivery range anyway (false advertising IMHO). Or they simply have never had a clear picture of when this model will be available to ship, in which case even the 5/8 "deadline" might be just an optimistic guess. Neither of those alternatives inspire much confidence in Apple, as a loyal customer or an investor.

As excited and impatient as I am, I'm not upset with Apple that I may have to wait a little longer. IF nothing happens over the next 24 hours or so, I will be upset with them for misleading me as to the availability of this model. Had I known, I could've bought a silver Sport and gotten the silver/black band later on; more money for Apple, less waiting for me.

But in the meantime, I'll try to hold out hope that our orders will still ship in time for delivery tomorrow. Seems folks have had such last-minute scenarios happen with iPhone preorders in the past.

I have personally had this happen to me. When I ordered the iPhone 6 Plus, it was still in Anchorage in the evening before delivery. It made it to Louisville at 12 - 1am and then on a plane to Texas. It made it in time to get on the truck out for delivery. Pretty amazing!

I'm starting to wonder if they do have some of these already here waiting to be delivered. That would explain why we didn't get the email. There are accounting/insurance decisions that they make as to when they charge and notify customers. They may have decided to carry some of these on their books to distribution locations.

This is total speculation on my part. They might also have forgotten to start up the production line for these phones! :p

I got my order in at 12:03am and i got the email of death, so don't think they are anywhere in the USA. In fact, its probably true that no 38mm space grey have made it to the USA at all because not one has even been charged yet, while the UK has gotten some shipped out. I can't believe it if Apple screws us loyal folk who got up at 3 am or interrupted our honeymoon celebratory dinner to order the watch on their iPhones. Don't give me the delivery window excuse either.

The delivery window is so that people who ordered a bit later get theirs a bit later, not that people who ordered ONE SPECIFIC MODEL get screwed up the ass while everyone else gets at least some of theirs shipped out. What a total kick in the nuts, Apple really punched us in the gut on this one. It just shows apple has ABSOLUTELY no idea what it means to be an apple fan any more, and they have totally taken us for granted. Why they chose to screw over one whole sect of people rather than make a bit less 42mm and throw us a bone, I don't know, but Jobs' death has certainly made things worse.

38mm sgs = 38mm SURELY GOT SCREWED

Seeing that I haven't seen a single account of a 38mm Space Gray Sport being dispatched in the US, the only logical conclusion in my opinion is that we'll see some movement later on today. I am in the 5/13 - 5/27 group, but I haven't lost hope for getting my watch very soon. Apple was likely using the same algorithm for each Sport model to calculate the shipment dates; to me that means that there is something that they know that we don't. Apple has some impossibly fast shipping methods that can seem like magic. Also keep in mind that we haven't seen any pink bands ship either. Judging from what I've seen online, there doesn't seem to be a great negative disparity between shipment times and estimated shipment times of the Sport models - except for the Pink and Space Gray (so far). It seems like models have been shipping one at a time regionally and we should at least see some accounts of Pink and Space Gray model shipping today.

Just my thoughts.

Keep your shirt on, until tomorrow at least. Based on various people's prior experiences, there is still more than enough time left for us to still get these things tomorrow, however unlikely it may seem.

Indeed, if it turns out that not even one of our precious 38mm's were ever going to be ready for U.S. delivery on 4/24, then Apple should not have included that date in their stated range for this model, period. But all week people have become despondent only to get good news after they'd assumed there was no chance. I will be (pleasantly) surprised if I get mine tomorrow, but it wouldn't be the first time Apple has pleasantly surprised me, so I'm not going to pass final judgment until I see for myself what happens in the next 24 hours.

And incidentally, we don't really have any PROOF of what the "email of death" actually means, and we won't until tomorrow. Granted, it seems like a bad sign, but the assumption that it means "absolutely positively no 4/24 delivery even within the realm of possibility" is just an educated guess, nothing more.

In short, let's give Apple a chance and try to hold off the weeping and gnashing of teeth for just one more day.

Congratulations to those seeing some movement! I wonder if we will see more now. Or is the QC pass rate so low that they can only do two orders every few days…? :p

3:04am - no updates

I did order a 38mm blue sport yesterday and I got charged this morning. What crap.

I did the same thing, confirmation at 8:28pm EDT last night. No charge yet though. If I end up with both, I may just experiment to see which color case I like better with the black band. If it's the silver one, I'll just return the SG and buy a black sport band.

I was charged for my 38mm with black band about 40 minutes ago. Status was already changed to preparing for shipment. Ordered 3:01 cst. fyi it's being shipped to TX.

Can you show a screenshot? I'm In Texas too yet nothing.

mine was XX:04:47 (in the UK) and I've had no movement since the order placed on April 10th!!

annoying when people ordering white or blue strap sports even as late as a few days ago have had theirs delivered today!!

But, then again, they also have a white or blue strap with a silver aluminum case.

Did you mean 2:01 central time? Because if not, people are gonna be mad. :)
